Amir Paknya
Amir Paknya always has had an eye for clean lines and simple curves. Growing up in what was once the world's cultural mecca, Paknya learned from his parents a keen appreciation for the arts. Taking a cue from his father, Amir developed an affinity for penmanship and calligraphy at an early age. "I have always loved the weight of a good pen in my hand and the feel of ink gliding over the tooth of a high-quality paper," Paknya states. "I see beauty in simple curves and different line weights." Paknya earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in New York. He has spent the ensuing 30 years in the furniture industry, earning a reputation as a "fine artist" in the field of wood and metal furniture. He is currently Director of Special Projects for Geiger International.
